Savor Food Tours Data Warehouse

- Seven Apps, One Source of Truth

The team was already comfortable using AI in everyday work, and was ready to up-level their tools. But Claude couldn't answer questions about data it couldn't access. The solution: a single source of truth with a custom Claude connector.

Setting up the meta database has given us a richness of insight into our data I was seeking but had no clue how to achieve with our disparate systems.

The Challenge

Spoon-feeding the AI the data it needed each time was too much work.

She talks to Claude, then works six tools by hand to get it the data it needs

Savor had Claude and they had plenty of data (the founder jokingly calls herself a "data hoarder"). They were using Claude every day, and while they'd had some success doing things like uploading spreadsheets to Claude and asking it questions, sourcing the data was a manual process that took effort each time. It was often faster to answer reporting questions manually. Simple questions like "which sells better, our 10am or our 11am departure?" or "how many guests who booked the OG tour also go on to book the Dinner tour?" took an export, a spreadsheet, and a Thursday afternoon, so in practice they rarely got asked. They also tried an AI customer support assistant, but it can only give answers about what it knows, and it can't read live availability numbers and made unreasonable promises to clients on their behalf.

The problem wasn't the tools, it was the connections.

What We Built

One place where every fact lives together, connected to AI the whole team can question.

One Source of Truth

Guest records, vendor payment records, variable costs from QuickBooks, private tour concierge contacts, even breakdowns for physical goods, all in one place.

Updates Itself

Up-to-the-minute on bookings. Scrubbed of sensitive information and read-only, so there's zero chance of corrupting existing systems.

Ask in Plain English

Connected to Claude. "Who's on tomorrow's 10am tour?" returns the roster with dietary flags attached.

Finds What You Already Own

Three years of bookings became one revenue curve. Every ticket, departure, private tour and inquiry, every vendor payment, affiliate booking and signed waiver, now in one place.

Real Questions Claude Can Now Answer

Questions that used to mean exports, a spreadsheet, and a Thursday afternoon. Open one to see what comes back.

Did sales go down when we raised prices last month? If so, did net profit actually increase?

Passengers down twenty percent, revenue up ten. An actual answer in ten minutes, instead of a question nobody could afford to ask.

Table comparing Q3 to date in 2025 against 2026, with the raw figures redacted: public passengers down 20%, departures down 10%, average passengers per tour down 11%, and revenue to Savor up 10%. Headline reads “Pax is down, revenue is up.”
Based on our past ticket prices, adjusted for seasonality, what is the optimal ticket price?

Three findings, two interactive models, one disproven idea, and the decision list for each season.

Four seasonal charts modelling average revenue per 10am departure against the distribution-channel ticket price, each with a best-estimate curve, 68% and 95% confidence bands, and markers for today’s price and the modelled optimum. Dollar figures are example numbers.
How many guests have booked more than once?

A table, with totals and percentages in seconds.

A within-year repeat-rate table showing the share of guests who took two or more tours in the same year: 1.78% in 2024, 1.42% in 2025, and 1.08% in 2026 year to date, against an all-time repeat rate of 2.1%. Guest counts are redacted.
