Savor Food Tours
AI Inquiry Assistant

- Respond to inquiries in minutes, not hours

For private tours, the #1 factor for closing sales was response time.

Savor's staff spend much of their time on-the-go, and so lucrative leads sometimes waited for hours for a response. In a competitive industry, that's not acceptable. They needed to be able to send an informed response in minutes, even from the heights of Machu Picchu.

The clarity that speed to lead is our number one factor to close a deal, and that our lead times were just way too long since me 'being online' was the bottleneck - was killing our close rates.

The Challenge

Lucrative leads sometimes sat for hours before they were seen. Salespeople needed to be trained to use the 7 supporting systems.

One person in the middle of eight two-way connections: the customer, six tools, and Claude out on the same ring

Whichever manager was available responded to inquiries as soon as they could, but prioritizing the guests in front of them often meant inquiries slipped to the end of the day. Savor tried an off-the-shelf AI support assistant, but it didn't have the ability to connect to their live data, and its responses were worse than nothing.

Building on top of their Data Warehouse, we created a custom inquiry bot that can answer correctly with live availability and pricing. And through the auxiliary Knowledge Base it's knowledgeable about routes, dietary restrictions, or custom tour options. It drafts responses to inquiries right in Slack, where staff can send it with a ๐Ÿ‘. Or, ask for a revision with a reply and then send it. Savora even learns by taking lessons from replies automatically.

What Changed

โœ“

Instead of hiring someone willing to do 24/7 inbox monitoring, they hired a salesperson.

โœ“

Anyone on the core leadership team can ๐Ÿ‘ a draft email from their phone if it comes in after-hours.

โœ“

Confident in speed-to-lead, they can focus on demand generation.

โœ“

Speed-to-lead is now tracked as a KPI in minutes instead of hours.

โœ“

Full sales funnel visibility for the leadership team.

โ€œ

Having a system that is modernized, personalized, built off our data, and can respond automatically, or by our preference with a 'thumbs up' has decreased our speed to lead significantly.
